This week will be week one of a three week series that on issues facing guys and girls in their lives today. Kira, Teresa and Lisa and Yola will be leading the girls in activities, and Mike, Dawson and Garry are going to spend some time with the guys. These are great weeks that allow for conversation, open questions and a better understanding of how God wants us to love each other better.
Last week we answered the question "what is a neighbour". This week at youth we’re going to look at the question “How do I love my neighbor?” Sometimes it’s hard to love other people, and sometimes there doesn’t seem to be much of a benefit to it. So how can I love my neighbor even when it’s really hard to do so? Come out and join the discussion!
Last week we talked about "Who is our neighbour" by exploring what it means to care for the people around us. This week we're going to unpack this idea a little more by discussing "what is a neighbour". What should our interactions with the world around us look like, and how does Jesus fit into that.
We're taking a break and so should you! The holiday season is in full swing and we want you to spend more time as a family.

This week we’re going to talk about why people do, and don’t, believe in God. It’s not very often that God is audible in our lives, and it’s hard to see him in everything, so how do we know that He’s even there? We’ll examine the lives of people who do and don’t, and see if we can connect their experiences with our own lives.
We all believe in a lot of things. For some of us it’s God, for some it’s the need for world peace, and others still think that the Leafs will eventually win the Stanley Cup... just for the record, I’m not one of those.
This week we're joining the SERVE BIG initiative that the Sunday school kids launched on Sunday morning. You can find all of the details if you click the button below this post. This week at Youth we're going to talk about what it means to serve, and how they can serve at home and in their neighbourhood. At the end of the night we'll be taking on a serve big project to honour the choir members who work so hard to bring us beautiful worship hymns each week.
Come join us for a Big Game Night, featuring a life size version of the game Clue. Together we'll try to solve the big mystery – Who Stole The Sacred Rubber Chicken?

Events Coming Up:
This month we’re teaming up with Mary Neil from KW Junk Music for a night of clanging and banging, moving and grooving, and a whole lot of fun. Using recycled-goods to create music means that everyone can be involved, you don’t need any special training, and you don’t need to purchase expensive instruments. Mary uses these "Junk-Jams" to introduce people to global worship songs – songs that highlight the faith and stories of people from countries around the world. The fun will begin at 4:30PM in the gyms with instrument building and practice and then we’ll move to the chapel for a one-of-a-kind worship experience where YOU will get to be a part of the band!
