In the last week of our summer program we are headed to Acts 4:1-22. Peter and John didn't care that they were arrested for talking to others about Jesus. They had so much confidence in Jesus, that they would keep talking about Jesus even if it meant dying for their faith

The bottom line is this: when Jesus is with you, you can face anything! Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we don't have to fear anything that happens. God can give us the confidence to trust Him no matter what.

Scripture this week: Acts 4:1-22

“When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.”

  • Life Application: Confidence - Living life you believe what God says is true.
  • Bottom Line: When Jesus is with you, you can face anything
  • Basic Truth: I can trust God no matter what.
  • Memory Verse: "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." - Philippians 1:6

Next Steps for Parents & Grandparents: At Bedtime have this conversation. Have you ever started something big and then lost your nerve in the middle? It's often easier to talk yourself into tacking something hard than to complete it. But you don't have to do it on your own! Jesus is always with you and you can live with confidence that He's got this. Pray for each other, that you will keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and ask for His help all along the way.
